Begusarai: A 30-year-old woman was shot dead in Raghunandanpur village in Teyai police station area of Begusarai district on Sunday. The victim was identified as Suman Kumari. Old rivalry is said to the reason behind the killing.Suman was going along with her husband and her daughter to the house of a relative in Barauni Zero mile area when the incident took place in the village.

Suman’s husband, Chandan Kumar Choudhary, said they were going on foot to reach the main street to take a vehicle. “However, when we reached the outskirts of the village Suman went to the cluster of trees to attend the nature’s call. Just then four people on two bikes came and shot her,” he said.Chandan said the assailants included one Dipak Kumar of the same village with whom her wife had picked a dispute about one year ago. “The killing is a fall out of the quarrel,” he said.Teghra SDPO Krishna Kumar said preliminary investigations indicate old rivalry as the reason for the killing.
